About the Role

As our Founding Engineering Operator (think “Director of Engineering” without the vanity title), you’ll own our platform end-to-end—stability, speed, scale, and security. You’ll ship production code weekly, translate customer feedback into features in days, and build a team around the standards you set.

 

You’ll work directly with the CRO, CEO, and Head of AI, shaping the product and defining the future of AI-driven sales.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Architect and scale LangGraph-based agent infrastructure for high-concurrency, low-latency performance.
  • Design for 99.99% uptime, multi-region deployment, and sub-100 ms agent response times.
  • Lead backend and data platform development—ElasticSearch vectors, scraping, signal enrichment, AI-agent orchestration.
  • Turn customer feedback into production features in <7 days.
  • Recruit, mentor, and grow a Bucharest engineering team from 0 → 25+, embedding a culture of velocity, ownership, and uncompromising quality.
  • Tie every engineering choice to measurable outcomes: lower latency, higher adoption, ARR impact.

 

Who You Are

  • 5+ years owning production systems end-to-end.
  • Deep Python expertise (async patterns, clean architecture, microservices).
  • Skilled with AWS/GCP/Hetzner, vector databases (ElasticSearch, Pinecone), and event-driven systems.
  • Comfortable designing fault-tolerant architectures and balancing cost-performance.
  • Obsessed with uptime, telemetry, logs, and user experience speed.
  • Collaborative, readable-code advocate—no lone wolves.
  • Think like an owner, not an employee.

  • 6 months — Build a 3–5 person core team under your leadership.
  • 12 months — Lead 10+ projects from spec to launch, doubling reliability or revenue impact.

We’re not hiring a “Director of Engineering” with a desk full of meetings. We’re hiring a Founding Engineering Operator to help create an entirely new category: Autonomous Revenue Agents.

Olivia—the AI agent you’ll scale—isn’t another sales tool. She’s becoming the revenue OS for every company, a stack-agnostic teammate who plugs into any CRM or outreach platform, senses competitor churn before anyone else, and turns every customer touchpoint into pipeline, retention, or upsell.

Your mission: design and scale the infrastructure that makes Olivia ubiquitous. You’ll build for mass adoption across the enterprise and beyond, so any revenue team—from scrappy startup to Fortune 500—can bring their own stack, press “go,” and watch Olivia drive results.

You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the CRO, CEO, and Head of AI, shaping the product and the future of AI-driven sales itself. This is ground-floor, Blue-Ocean engineering—success here means reshaping how the world sells.
